Overall I found this module really interesting and believe it changed the way I approach making music and audio. I now understand the importance of imagination and perception in the workI do. It’s been really challenging and informative to have to ‘see’ a sound and then go about creating it however I see fit. Like doing a puzzle backwards. I found that once I’d created the correct sound it was really rewarding. If I were to do this project I would definitely try and allow myself more time to focus on mixing because I really feel that’s the weakest part of my animation and if I had more time would change a lot about the piece and hopefully be able to create a more cohesive mix, I also would’ve loved to be able to mix my piece in 5.1 as I think it would have added another dimension to the animation. I think being able to test out each facet of audio post production with the individual artefacts was a really efficient way of learning how to approach the 5 minute animation and made it easier for me to learn exactly what goes into creating a project like this.
